Here’s how it’s done…

We offer several interlocking programs of consulting, teaching, and ongoing review, any or all of which you can take advantage of at reasonable fees.  Everything is done on a negotiated fee-for-deliverables basis, and all of our programs are planned and documented to be in conformity with ISO 9000 and its derivatives.

The consulting that we do is in the form of the following programs:

  • On-site analysis and assessment
  • General design and development on and off site
  • Workshops on and off site
  • Staff training on and off site
  • Follow-up and continuing review
  • Long-term support

On-site work is arranged at your facility or other convenient location and on a schedule convenient for you.  Off-site workshops and training are conducted at an excellent, economical facility near Greensboro, North Carolina, or at other locations to suit the client.

The first step is generally a telephone interview, followed by an on-site preliminary assessment.  This allows the consultant to submit a report that describes the detailed work to be done.  After an agreement is completed, the consultant or consultants begin work on your site to complete the detailed analysis.  The results of this analysis include a preliminary management report on the proposed document control system.  This may require a period of one week to one month on site.

Next, the consulting team goes home to develop the document control system and plan.  This requires a period of weeks, during which the consultant may make further on-site visits.  After the plan is developed, the consulting team returns to your site to follow up on the planning process and implement the document control system.

After the system is implemented, David A. Cook and Associates will provide continuing support and review services to keep you prepared for regulatory and ISO audits and reviews and to ensure that your system continues to deliver the benefits you expect.
